Isoleps cernua, otherwise known as "Fiber Optics Grass" and "Live Wire", is not a grass at all but does kind of look like one because of its mop-like tuft of fine green stems. It?has small flower spikes at the stem tips reminiscent of those fiber optic lamps, hence the common name.
