Best known as Notocactus, but now renamed Parodia is a genus of cacti commonly refered to? as 'ball cacti'. Its not hard to see where they got their name from, as most species from this genus are shaped like balls.?

These plants require adequate air-flow and low to moderate humidity. They prefer warmer temperatures, and although they require bright light, they need to be sheltered from the hot midday sun (therefore a brightly lit indoor spot is perfect). Continue to grow this plant in a well-draining soil mix, typical of cacti, and water sparingly.?
