Oxalis Triangularis C A Unique Purple Shamrock That Moves with Light
The Oxalis triangularis, or Purple Shamrock, is a fascinating plant with delicate, vibrant purple leaves that open during the day and close at night in response to light changes. These plants grow from small underground corms and may enter dormancy in colder months before re-sprouting when warmer weather returns.
Important Note About Shipping & Dormancy
Oxalis triangularis has fragile foliage that may experience stress during transit. If your plant loses its leaves upon arrival, dont worry! The corms are still healthy, and new growth will quickly emerge once the plant is settled in its new environment.
Care Guidelines
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can also be grown in a shaded outdoor spot.
- Watering: Keep soil partially moist, allowing it to dry slightly between wateringsavoid letting it dry out completely.
- Dormancy: When grown indoors, dormancy is less likely. If it does go dormant, reduce watering and wait for regrowth in spring.
- Potting & Growth: Grows best in well-draining soil and thrives in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
